Room Assignment Process Students must be accepted to the University in order to submit a housing contract. Room assignments are made in accordance with the date in which the contract and deposit are received in the UWG Residence Life Office.
Research suggests that there is no fail-safe roommate matching system. When a specific roommate is not requested, roommate assignments will be made using the personal preference information on the housing contract and are made without regard to race, age, creed religion or national origin. For specific roommate requests to be honored both
students must have submitted a housing contract and deposit. The request
must be mutual and must include the name and social security number
of both parties. When two roommates have different hall preferences,
unless either student specifies otherwise, the roommate preference
will take priority over the hall preference. Roommate pairs are assigned
based on the date of the earlier student's contract. Roommate pairing
requests submitted after June 1 cannot be guaranteed. Room and roommate assignment notification Room and roommate assignment information will be available online through the Admissions Login page around the end of June. |
